Sindhupalchok landslide: 13 missing in Jugal

Kathmandu. Thirteen people have lost contact in a landslide in Jugal village municipality-2 of Sindhupalchowk district. Rambabu Nepal, planning officer of Jugal village municipality, informed Ratopati that out of 13 houses buried by the landslide, 13 members of five families have lost contact.

           

Locals who were able to get out of the landslide have gone to a safe place in Lapsechaur. It is said that 30 houses are at risk due to the landslide.

A Nepal Army team is heading to the site from Jhirku, 7 km away from the site. Police are also rushing to the spot from Katike and Jalbir.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota flew in a Nepal Army helicopter. It is said that security personnel are being sent from three other helicopters for rescue.
