Five magnitude earthquake felt in Jhapa
Kathmandu: A magnitude 5.0 earthquake has shaken Jhapa.
According to the National Earthquake Measurement Center, a magnitude-5 earthquake centered at Bahundangi in Jhapa at 9.30 am.
Chief of the Center, Lok Vijay Adhikari, said that the quake was felt near the Nepal-India border. The epicenter was reported below the ground, however; no tsunami alert was issued. The epicenter was reported near Dhading on Wednesday.
