The postal service should be transformed with the changes taking place in the communication sector: Prime Minister Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the effectiveness of the postal service should be enhanced by developing and expanding the existing services.


Expressing best wishes on the occasion of the 146th World Postal Day, he said that there was a need for transformation in the postal service along with the changes taking place in the media sector. He said that the postal service of Nepal should be made timely, effective, competitive, self-reliant and professional and work in tune with the demands and desires of the people.

He said that the postal service was the oldest and most historic service in the world for providing communication services at the grassroots level. The postal service was established in Nepal in 1935 BS.
