Biden near victory in US presidential election

Kathmandu: As the counting of votes for the US presidential election continues, there is still competition between the two candidates.

Biden is close to victory. Out of the 270 electoral votes required for the presidency, Biden is just six votes behind. According to the latest results, Democratic candidate Joe Biden received 264 electoral votes and incumbent Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump received 214 electoral votes. Out of 50 states in the United States, 43 states have already voted.

Biden has won only one state. As Biden approaches victory, President Trump's election campaign is pushing for a halt to the vote count in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
