PM Oli in crisis or system in crisis?

Kathmandu, 13 December: Powerful Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is unable to reshuffle his cabinet. He is unable to fulfill vacant ambassadorial posts abroad. The government is unable to elect one deputy speaker. The government enjoys a virtually two-thirds majority is unable to fulfill appointment in the vacant posts of the constitutional bodies.
In fact, the government is paralyzed. The government has become non-functional due to the non-cooperation performed by the leaders in the ruling party and also in the opposition party.

It is odd to note that the meeting of the Constitutional Council called for today by the Prime Minister to fulfill vacancies in the constitutional body has become uncertain as the leader of the main opposition party Sher Bahadur Deuba has decided not to attend the meeting. As speaker Agni Sapkota, member of the Constitutional Council belongs to the anti-Oli camp, he, following the instruction of the ruling party’s co-chairman Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda, is unlikely to attend the meeting. If both the members will not attend, the meeting cannot take place.

When leaders become irresponsible and they wish to serve their pity interests by making the nation hostage of indecision, the “loktantra’ has become costly for the people. Due to the pity interests of the leaders, the present crisis has been surfaced. This is an example of the failure of the system.

General pubic are confused whether this is a “loktantra” or a “loottantra”!
