Another 1,096 people In Nepal have reported Covid Infection, 8 have Died


Kathmandu: Covid infection rate has been increasing in Nepal recently. Another 1,096 people were confirmed infected on Sunday, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. According to Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry, 1,015 PCR tests on Sunday confirmed infection in 1,015 and 81 people from 699 antigens. 

According to the ministry, the highest number of 435 cases has been confirmed in the Kathmandu Valley. Of these, 326 are from Kathmandu, 64 from Lalitpur, and 45 from Bhaktapur. Similarly, eight more people have died due to Kovid. So far, 3,083 people have died due to covid. Similarly, 262 people have been infected in the last 24 hours, according to the ministry. So far, 275,300 people have been released from coronation in Nepal, said spokesperson Gautam. 

At present, 6,290 people are in isolation and 85 in quarantine, while 2,345,501 PCRs have been done so far, said spokesperson Gautam.
