Correspondence to the municipality to follow the instructions of the ministry

Jhapa: Despite the decision of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to close schools, the Education Development and Coordination Unit Office, Jhapa, has written to the concerned municipalities to implement the government's decision immediately after some schools in Jhapa came into operation on Tuesday.

"Even though the Ministry of Education has issued a circular to close the schools considering the health of the children, we have written to the municipalities to close the schools immediately after implementing the decision. Chief of the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Jhapa, Raj Kumar Bishwakarma said.

"It cannot be said that the government's decision has not been accepted. The government has made this decision in consultation with experts, so it must be implemented."

According to the information received, Gyanendra Niraula of Mechinagar-7 had lodged a written complaint at the District Administration Office alleging that some schools in Mechinagar Municipality were operating.

According to Shrawan Kumar Timsina, Chief District Officer of Jhapa, the right to school-level education belongs to the local municipalities and it is the responsibility of the municipalities to implement the decisions made by the Ministry of Education.

"We have facilitated the implementation of the ministry's decision through the district education coordination unit," said Timsina. It is also mentioned in the letter that all the municipalities have been instructed to enforce the Yash Niyama.
