Congress decides to vote against the vote of confidence by the Prime Minister

Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, has decided to vote against the no-confidence motion tabled by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

A meeting of party officials held on Tuesday voted against the no-confidence motion by Prime Minister Oli in the House of Representatives and decided to defeat the proposal, said Joint General Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat. Prime Minister Oli has already said that he will take a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives meeting on April 10. For which, President Vidyadevi Bhandari has called the parliament on April 10 at 1 pm.

Similarly, the Congress meeting has also decided to oppose the appointment of constitutional bodies as per the ordinance issued by President Bhandari on Tuesday. It was also decided to continue the preparations for the party's general convention scheduled for the first week of August by adopting health security standards, said Mahat.
