India objects to Saudi Arabia's declaration of independence of Jammu and Kashmir

Kathmandu. The Indian government has objected to the map printed on Saudi Arabian notes.

Saudi Arabia has objected, claiming that India's border was misprinted on G20 banknotes.

Jammu and Kashmir and Leh have not been included in the world map used in Saudi Arabia's 20 riyal note, so it has been asked to correct it.

The note was issued on the sidelines of the G20 summit to be chaired by Saudi Arabia. The note features a picture of King Salman, the logo of the G20 summit and a map of the G20 countries.

This note was printed on October 24. The virtual meeting of the G20 is scheduled for November 21-22. This controversy has already arisen.

According to Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava, India has conveyed its concerns to the Saudi government through its ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

He said that appropriate steps should be taken as soon as possible. He said that the whole of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were an integral part of India.

The note mentions Jammu and Kashmir, which is under the control of India and Pakistan, as an independent territory.
