21 organizations demand cancellation of Indian Army Chief Narwane's visit


Kathmandu. Various 21 political organizations have demanded the Government of Nepal to cancel the upcoming visit of Indian Army Chief Manoj Mukunda Narwane to Nepal. On behalf of the 21 parties, CP Gajurel issued an appeal on Sunday saying that the current visit of Army Chief Manoj Mukunda Narwane to Nepal would increase the interference in Nepal's nationality and national independence. 

"His visit to Nepal will further increase the interference in Nepal's nationality and national independence. Therefore, we strongly urge the Oli government to cancel the visit of Indian Army Chief Narwane to Nepal, "Gajurel said." If the government does not cancel the visit, we have decided to hold a peaceful protest. We call on all patriots to join the protest. "

21 political parties have stated that Narwane's visit to Nepal will further interfere in Nepal's national independence. Samant Goyal, the head of India's External Intelligence Agency (EIA), had visited Nepal in the first week of last Kartik. It is said that Goyal's visit is in connection with his visit to Nepal on November 3. The Government of Nepal has stated that Narwane's visit to Nepal will be to confer the honorary rank of Maharathi of the Nepal Army. 

At this time, the government of Nepal and India are clashing over border issues and the publication of a map of Nepal. While the governments of Nepal and India have shown no interest in holding diplomatic and political talks, 21 organizations are protesting against the attempt to honor the Indian Army Chief by giving him the status of Honorary Maharathi of the Nepal Army.

During the tenure of the Chief of Army Staff, the Indian Army had built a road to Mansarovar of China via Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulek in Beas village of Nepal. Narwane, who claimed at a seminar in India on May 22 that the road was built across the Kali River and that the land belonged to India.

Going further, he said that there was no reason for Nepal to oppose it in the program and that it was done at the instigation of someone. At the same time, 21 parties are of the view that the message will be confirmed by inviting him to Nepal and honoring him.
