Kamal Thapa has welcomed the decision to remove the 'Federal Democratic Republic'.

Kathmandu:  Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Kamal Thapa has welcomed the decision of the government to write only Nepal instead of the official name of Nepal, 'The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal'.

He said on Twitter that the government's decision on Friday was correct and that there was no need to add an adjective to Nepal's name. Thapa also said that the name of the country has been Nepal since ancient times.

A few days ago, the government had decided to write only Nepal instead of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Some have opposed the decision.
