Construction of road to connect Mahakali corridor
Kanchanpur :- The process for construction of road to connect Brahmadev Mahakali Corridor from Gaddachauki of Bhimdatta Municipality has been taken forward. A road is being constructed from Gaddachauki to Brahmadev Corridor via Tumdani via Jimuwa.
A budget of Rs. 37 million has been allocated in the current fiscal year for the construction of 11 km road connecting the corridor. The road division office is going to move ahead with the road construction work by signing a contract.
The road was surveyed last year by preparing DPR (Detailed Project Report). Based on the agreement of the locals, a 10 meter wide road will be constructed connecting the Mahakali Corridor to Brahmadev and the six-lane road from Dodhara Chandani to the dry port.
Chief of the Road Division Office Sunil Kumar Karna said that the road construction work would be carried out with the consent of the locals. "We will move forward by preparing cost estimates for road construction. We will work according to what is available from the current budget," said Karna, head of the division.
Chief of Bhimdatta Municipality Surendra Bista said that priority has been given to the construction of Gaddachauki road based on the demands and needs of the locals living in the border area. "People living in the border areas are suffering. "Last year, there was an attempt to take the road to the side," he said. "There was also a budget. Work could not be done after India blocked it.
He said that the road connecting the dry port of Dodhara Chandni and Mahakali Corridor will be constructed and later developed as a national highway. The Mahendranagar-Brahmadev link road connects Brahmadev. The road will be constructed in such a way that Brahmadev can also go through Mahendranagar through Gaddachauki.
