Standing committee meeting should be convened immediately, if one takes the path of disintegration, it will be a betrayal of the country and the people: Bhim Rawal

Kathmandu: Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) leader and former minister Bhim Rawal has demanded immediate convening of the standing committee meeting.

Leader Rawal had given such response after the statement of CPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who was on the verge of splitting, became public. During the meeting on Sunday, Prachanda had said that he had offered to run the party separately if the Prime Minister and another party chairman KP Sharma Oli could not go together.

Leader Rawal tweeted, "Laws, systems and institutional decisions are the basis of party operation and conflict management." A meeting of the Standing Committee should be convened immediately. Disobeying these things and taking the path of division and disintegration will be a betrayal of the country and the people and a crime against the CPN (Maoist).

He also urged to solve the problem keeping in mind understanding, unity and the interest of the country.
