Construction work of Ram temple in Madi is in full swing


Madi: The construction work of the Ram temple at Madi in Chitwan, the birthplace of Lord Rama, has been expedited. The construction work of the temple has been started so that a statue can be installed on Ram Navami.

The construction work has been started by laying the foundation stone of the temple at Ayodhyadham in Krishnanagar of Madi. Krishna Raj Adhikari, Ward Chairman of Madi Municipality-8 informed that a temple is being constructed in Krishnanagar Park spread over 100 biga.  

There is a program to install idols of Rama, Sita, Laxman, and Hanuman on the day of Ram Navami on April 25. The statue erected by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Kathmandu will be placed there.

Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to bid farewell to the idol in a rath yatra with Swasti Bachan. The idols will be brought to Madi on April 22 via Devghat Dham.   

Madi Municipality Chief Thakur Prasad Dhakal said that the statue would be kept by constructing a temporary structure and the work of constructing a permanent structure would continue.
