The Seti River crossed the danger line

Bajhang: The Seti River has crossed the danger level here. The water has crossed the danger level at the water metering center at Pankot on the Seti River. As the flow of water in the river has increased, the banks have started cutting.

Riverine settlements and fertile lands are at risk due to erosion. The newly constructed Chainpur-Pankot connecting motorable bridge and the Om Shanti and District Ayurveda Health Center buildings in Pankot are also at risk due to the high flow of the river. The river has cut through the bridge and the bottom of both the buildings. The landslide could not reach the building only due to some big stones.

Chief District Officer Mohan Adhikari said that the machine was not found when the District Administration Office searched the river. According to him, the riverside settlements of Jaya Prithvi Municipality, Chhabispathibhera Municipality, Thalara Municipality, Durgathali Municipality, and Kedarsyu Municipality have been requested to remain vigilant.
