KP Oli will be escorted to Balkot by UML cadres


Kathmandu: CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is leaving his official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday.

He is scheduled to leave Baluwatar for his private residence in Balkot after 11 am.

The National Youth Association of Nepal and the Nepal Sports Federation are preparing to take Oli from Baluwatar to Balkot by escorting him with a motorcycle and car rally.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has been appointed as the Prime Minister on Monday as per the order of the Supreme Court.

Oli, who was relieved of his post by the Supreme Court, had criticized the court order while addressing the nation on Monday.

Oli remained in power for three and a half years. Deuba, who was appointed prime minister on Tuesday, will have to take a vote of confidence in parliament within 30 days.
