Deuba took oath as PM
Newly appointed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has taken oath of office and secrecy. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office to Prime Minister Deuba at Shital Niwas. Earlier, Deuba had objected to a statement issued by the President's Office appointing Deuba as the Prime Minister. The swearing-in ceremony was postponed for two hours due to a dispute over the language of the letter.
Deuba was sworn in after agreeing to administer the oath to the newly appointed Prime Minister as per Article 76 (5) of the Constitution. While administering the oath, the language was used as per the decision of the Constitutional Court of the Supreme Court dated July 12, 2078 BS and Article 76 (5) of the Constitution of Nepal. Was
