Powerful cyber attack in US: Nearly 200 businesses affected

Kathmandu: A powerful cyber-attack has taken place in the United States. About 200 businesses have been affected. According to cybersecurity company Huntress Labs, the hackers targeted Kasami, a technology company headquartered in Miami. Then the ransomware attack spread from the corporate software system.

Kaseya is investigating a possible attack on his VSA technology, and the BBC has told its clients to shut down their servers. Huntress Labs claims that Reveal, a group of cyber-attackers seeking a ransom from Russia, may have carried out the attack. Reveal has also been accused of being responsible for organized cyberattacks on local governments in Texas in 2019.
