Nishikant Kamat, who directed films like 'Drishyam' and 'Madari', is no more

KATHMANDU: Bollywood director Nishikant Kamat died at a hospital in Hyderabad on Monday. He was 50 years old.

The hospital said in a statement that his health had been deteriorating since Monday afternoon and he died at around 6:30 pm. 

The hospital said in a statement, "Nishikant Kamat was admitted to the hospital on July 31 due to fever and extreme fatigue. He had been suffering from cirrhosis of the liver for two years, which is why he was given antibiotics and other medicines.

'Her health had improved somewhat but gradually her liver was getting worse. On Sunday, he began to have more respiratory problems and lower blood pressure. He died after various organs stopped working.

Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh has given information about Nishikant's demise on social media. "My friend, I will miss you," he tweeted.
