Eleven people were injured in a gas explosion at Sohrakhutte and damage to nearby houses

KATHMANDU: Eleven people have been injured when a gas cylinder exploded at Sohrakhutte in Kathmandu. A gas cylinder exploded on the first floor of a three-storey house in Nilkumari Chhetri, police said. 

The condition of some of the 11 injured is critical. A fire broke out in the house after the blast, said Inspector of Police Ram Kumar Ghimire.

He also informed that the glass of seven houses was shattered and the walls were cracked due to the explosion of the gas cylinder.
