Ranipokhari at night

Ashoj 29, Kathmandu. Ranipokhari, which was damaged in the 2072 earthquake, is in good condition after reconstruction. Even after nightfall, the lights seem to be flashing. The view of the historic Ranipokhari is equally captivating at night.

Reconstruction of Ranipokhari was completed in the first week of Ashoj.

Gajur has been placed at five places including the main one and four others at the site of the Balgopaleshwar temple in the middle of the pond on Ashoj 15 at 8 am. Now, the work of cleaning and placing lights in Ranipokhari has been completed.

According to the National Reconstruction Authority, Ranipokhari will be inaugurated by the President a decade ago. As the reconstruction has been completed, the historic Ranipokhari will be open to the public during this year's festival.
