Even though the mountains are smiling at this time, the tourism sector is deserted due to the corona virus that has spread like a plague all over the world. Although a small number of domestic tourists have started trekking in Mardi Himal and Manang areas, other trekking areas are deserted. Pokhreli has started trekking in Corona Kahar. They have also started paragliding. Dipendra Raj Regmi of Miruwa, Pokhara-2 said that Kovid went paragliding for the first time this week after getting free time. Rishi Baral, information officer of Annapurna Conservation Area, said that the bustle of domestic tourists has started in Mardi Himal. According to Baral, tourists from different parts of the country, including Kathmandu, have recently returned from trekking in the Mardi Himal area.
Under normal circumstances, it was difficult to find a room at Annapurna base camp, Thoranglapas, Mustang due to the pressure of domestic and foreign tourists. Due to the corona virus, visits to these tourist sites are still banned. Even those that are open are deserted. In Pokhara, domestic tourists used to flock during the Dashain and Tihar holidays. Students used to come on educational tours. Foreign tourists used to come for trekking. Corona has stalled the world tourism market. There is no question that its impact will not be felt in Nepal. Although Corona has a void in the tourism industry, nature has not stopped showing its beauty.
