Nepalis have bid farewell to the great festival Bada Dashain by staying awake at night with the worship of Goddess Mahalakshmi of wealth and prosperity.
On the last day of Ashwin Shukla Purnima, the last day of Durga Paksha, the festival celebrated by Nepalis in a grand manner, has come to an end after staying awake at night with the worship of Goddess Mahalakshmi.
All the sacrifices according to the scriptures, that is, all the sacrifices, have been completed on Friday.

This festival has a special significance as Mahalakshmi is worshiped 15 days before the Lakshmi Puja celebrated on the day of Kartik Krishna Aunsi. This full moon is also called Kaumudi.
According to theologian Gautam, the law on gambling on the night of Ashwin Shukla Purnima is also based on the scriptures.
Indra, who rode an elephant on Friday night along with Mahalaxmi, is also worshiped. The committee has stated that the full moon fast is on today even though it falls on Kojagrat full moon on Friday.
The fast of Mahalakshmi is performed at midnight on a full moon day. The date was Chaturdashi till 5:25 pm on Friday at 27:58 pm and then the date has been changed to Purni.
The committee has decided to celebrate Kojagrat Purni today as it falls on Friday at midnight. Today, the date of the full moon is 33 hours 16 minutes, that is, 7:33 pm. The full moon is worshiped on the full moon, but the sunrise and the full moon in the evening are required for the date.
It is said that Kartik bath and sky lantern will also start from today. In Vedic Sanatan Dharma, bathing and giving alms in the month of Kartik is of great importance.
