Approval from the Council of Ministers to declare the new height of Sagarmatha
Kathmandu: The Council of Ministers has given the approval to declare a new height of Sagarmatha.
The cabinet meeting held on Wednesday gave approval to the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation to declare the new height of Sagarmatha.
Minister for Land Management Padmakumari Aryal had submitted a proposal to the Council of Ministers for approval to declare the new height of Sagarmatha.
Minister Aryal informed that the government has prepared a formal declaration of Sagarmatha after the work of measuring the height of Everest, which started in the fiscal year 2075-76 BS, has now been completed.
