Out of the 1 lakhs announced by China, 9 lakhs vaccines are being brought today
Out of the 1 million doses announced by China, 900,000 doses of vaccine are arriving in Nepal on Tuesday. According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, 800,000 vaccines will come from Beijing, the capital of China, and 100,000 from Tibet.
According to the office, the Kathmandu-Beijing-Kathmandu medical cargo flight of Nepal Airlines Corporation left for Beijing at 11 pm on Monday to take 800,000 doses of the vaccine received from the Chinese government. The plane will bring 800,000 vaccines to Nepal by 2 pm on Tuesday.
Kiran Raj Sharma, the spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office and the Office of the Council of Ministers, said that the first batch of 200,000 doses to be provided by the Tibet Autonomous Region of China would be delivered by 100,000 doses on Tuesday and 100,000 on Wednesday by two chartered planes of Himalayan Airlines.
