Discussion between the Chief Justice and the Chairman of the Supreme Court

Discussions are underway between Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Cholendra Shamsher Rana and the Supreme Court. Discussions are underway between Rana and Supreme Court Chairman Purnaman Shakya regarding the formation of the bench and the resolution of disputes.

Judges Bamkumar Shrestha and Tej Bahadur KC should not be included in the Constitutional Court. However, Rana has given continuity to both of them while forming the session today.

Lawmakers had pressured the two judges to step down, citing conflict of interest over the dissolution of the House of Representatives. The hearing was adjourned on Monday to decide on the matter.
