The body of a teenager who has been missing since the night of Shrawan 31 was found in Sarlahi

Sarlahi: The body of a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since the night of Shrawan 31 has been found in Sarlahi. The body of Priyanka Bhujel of Lalbandi Municipality Ward No. 17 Raniganj has been found buried on the bank of Kalinjar River, according to police.

According to Nirmal Thapa, Inspector at the Area Police Office, Lalbandi, about three kilometers from the house of the deceased.

Two persons were arrested on suspicion of killing the teenager and the body was found during the investigation. The girl's relatives have said that she was killed after being gang-raped.

According to Sarlahi Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhav Prasad Budhathoki, further investigation is underway as the nature of the incident shows that she was killed after being raped.
