BJP leader shot dead in Jammu and Kashmir

KATHMANDU: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader has been killed in Jammu and Kashmir, India.

According to Indian media, a local councilor Rakesh Somnath Pandita was shot dead by a rebel group. BJP leader Pandita was shot dead in Pulwama last night, according to Indian police. According to the police, he was accompanied by two private security guards.

Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has condemned the incident.
