The treacherous decision to turn the Terai into a desert must be opposed and repealed: Shrestha

Kathmandu: Narayan Kaji Shrestha, leader of the Maoist Center, has said that the treacherous decision to turn the Terai Madhes into a desert should be opposed and rejected.

Commenting on the budget for the fiscal year 2078/79, he said that the decision to make the Terai Madhes desolate by extracting stones, ballast, and sand by Chure Dohon should be revoked. 

He wrote, “I did not think it necessary to spend time commenting on the budget of 078/079 without the legitimacy and moral basis of this reactionary government. But in order to reduce the trade deficit, the treacherous decision to turn the Terai Madhes into a desert by extracting stones, ballast, and sand from the Chure harness must be opposed and repealed. ”
