A new government as like the Oli government is not allowed to commit any crime: Gagan Thapa

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa has made it clear that the new government is not allowed to commit the same crime as the KP Sharma Oli-led government. Speaking during the zero hours of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Thapa said that the new government would not be allowed to commit any crime and the parliament should also make a resolution to prevent this from happening.

"A new chapter has begun with the vote of confidence in the government by the parliament. Both the government and parliament have new expectations for the success of this chapter, he said. Elaborating on the irresponsible actions of the Oli-led government, he said: The previous government has reached Bardali from Baluwatar. '

He clarified that the new government is not allowed to commit any such crime. "Parliament should also resolve to prevent this from happening. It will not allow the parliament to be ignored, nor will it be made useless, he said, nor will it be allowed to be postponed arbitrarily or deceived. This parliament is not afraid of the government. The government has to be afraid of this parliament - with the question of the parliamentarians, with the supervision of the parliament.

Stating that the examination will be held not only for the Prime Minister but also for the Speaker, Thapa stressed the need to restore the lost public trust in the parliament and the constitution.

"It simply came to our notice then. The article of the constitution has restored the House of Representatives and the power of the parliament should restore the government, now the speaker and the people who have lost faith in the parliament and the constitution.
