After Alpha and Delta, Kappa's variant was found in Nepal
Kathmandu: After Alpha and Delta, another variant has been confirmed in Nepal.
Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari has given such information in a press release.
The latest variant found in Nepal is more contagious and has been found in studies affecting people of all age groups.
"Therefore, the Ministry of Health and Population urges all concerned to adhere to public health standards in a sensitive manner to play an effective role in the prevention and control of infections in the face of increasing risk of infection, and to prepare for the challenging situation of a possible third wave," he said.
According to him, from mid-May to mid-August, 47 samples from different age groups in different parts of the country were selected at the National Public Health Laboratory and sent to India.
